Felton Kamambo Elected New ZIFA President, Chiyangwa Withdraws From Rerun

Felton Kamambo is the new Zifa president after his predecessor Phillip Chiyangwa withdrew from the rerun.

The vote for a new president was set to go for a rerun after Kamambo failed to reach the 2 thirds majority but Chiyangwa withdrew from the race. In the first round of voting Kamambo got 35 against Chiyangwa’s 24. Gift Banda was also voted the new Zifa Vice President after beating Omega Sibanda. The new Executive Committee consists of Sugar Chagonda, Philemon Machana, Chamu Chiwanza and Brighton Malandule.
