Radio Talk Show For Young People 'ROOTS' Launched

A radio show for young people called The Roots Talk show was recently launched and is now in its third week running. The Show is supported by Real Opportunities for Transformation Support (ROOTS). In turn, ROOTS is supported by the Global Fund for Women. Roots has created a website www.rootafrica.net .It seeks to give young people an opportunity to face the challenges of the 21st century. Beatrice Savadye the director of ROOTS said

ROOTS is a non-profit organisation that is youth-serving and part of what we do is being a communications outlet for adolescents and young people and we cover so many issues from sexual and reproductive health, drug abuse, GBV, menstrual health and many more. The Talk show serves the purpose of bringing out issues and get our communities to respond because it’s not enough for us to out the problems but we have to find the solutions.
