FC Platinum captain Petros Mhari says that his team learnt important lessons last time they ventured into the African safari. Platinum performed poorly as they failed to reach the group stages of the competition. Mhari says that the experience they got will put them in good stead.
We have been doing well in the local league and clearly, we lived up to the expectations… We achieved our goal of winning the league’s ultimate prize for the second time. But now, we are headed to the Champions League, which is our next task.
We all know that it’s a tough task, but I am hoping that we will improve from last season. Our experience against Young Africans and Agosto was a rude awakening. No matter how difficult it can be, I think this time around, we will bring back home something tangible to celebrate about. Mhari said going into this Champions League task, “teamwork and hard work” would be their main strength. I want us to maintain this winning form.
