Defence Minister and ZANU PF national chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri says Zimbabwe is now a low middle-income country and the economy is expected to expand by up to 6.8 per cent. Speaking during a Manicaland Provincial Council Committee meeting held in Mutare, Muchinguri-Kashiri said
Our economy is growing and we are now a low middle-income country. The economy’s growth rate is expected to reach 6.8 per cent, surpassing most sub-Saharan countries. Our country has a strong economy and I want you to be hopeful and not be wavered. We are full of potential as we have not begun to explore many activities to the full potential, for instance, mining.
