Govt To Use DNA Tests To Identify 32 Victims Burnt In West Nicholson Bus Accident

ZBC News reports Government will carryout DNA tests to identify 32 victims who were burnt beyond recognition in the West Nicholson bus disaster.

The Civil Protection Department has confirmed that the number of bodies identified so far stand at 32. Government has made arrangements for relatives of the victims to travel to Bulawayo for DNA sampling. Provincial chairperson of the Civil Protection Unit Ms Sithandile Ncube said the mother of the deceased or a sibling who share the same mother as the victim are the ones recommended for the tests. Said Ncube:

Relatives who wish to travel from Zvishavane to Bulawayo should see the District Administrator who will assist them with transport. The DNA tests will be carried out at Nyaradzo Funeral Palour Main Street in Bulawayo.
