The Tsholotsho Rural District Council chief executive officer has been arrested. Themba Moyo who was already on suspension has been arrested on allegations of criminal abuse of duty as a public official. He is facing numerous charges of misappropriating funds to the tune of $881 000. The allegations arose after a forensic audit report in October unearthed the missing funds. His trial is set for December 4. Tsholotsho RDC chairperson Esau Siwela said
We have taken the matter to the court of law it is in the hands of the court now we will just let justice take its course. We will hear from the detectives and the court. As of now, we have engaged the labour court whereby we are implementing a commission of inquiry which will be independent and composed of people from outside Tsholotsho.
