The Government Lived Within Its Means In September, Deficit Was Almost Zero Says Mthuli Ncube

The Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Prof Mthuli Ncube says there was near zero fiscal deficit during the month of September 2018 and he expects the trend to continue up to the end of the year. The minister says:

Excellent progress on Zimbabwe fiscal budget deficit reduction. In the month of September 2018, the fiscal budget was balanced. Deficit was almost zero. I am (expecting) this trend to continue to the end of the year. This will contribute to stabilizing the currency and in containing inflation
