Have Mercy On Us And Remove The Sanctions: Chief Implores US Ambassador

A Masvingo chief has called on the United States Ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols to tell US President Donald Trump to remove the sanctions imposed on the country. Chief Murinye said this while giving a vote of thanks at the end of a signing ceremony for US$475 000 donated by the United States government through the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP). The ceremony was held in Masvingo. The chief said

My message to you (Ambassador Nichols) is that please tell the great American President (Mr Donald) Trump to lift sanctions on Zimbabwe… Zimbabwe is reeling from those sanctions. Tell him to have mercy on us and lift the sanctions.
