VIDEO: Strive Masiyiwa Supports Mnangagwa, Calls For Removal Of Sanctions

Econet founder Strive Masiyiwa told CNBC Africa that he believes President Emmerson Mnangagwa is sincere in the things he wants to do. He also called for the removal of sanctions saying they are unjustified.

Said Masiyiwa:

But concerning the change that has taken place, I believe it is real. I believe President Mnangagwa is sincere in the things he wants to do. It is going to be extremely challenging. Anyone who understands economics knows its gonna be tough going. But I think Zimbabwe needs to be given a chance…I think for instance the sanctions should be removed. There is no justification for them anymore.
