Liquid Telecom Donates $1,5 Million Towards Sewer Pipe Refurbishment

Liquid Telecom donated US$1.5 million towards refurbishment of sewer pipes in Glen Norah and Dzivaresekwa high-density suburbs.

Speaking during the ground-breaking ceremony, Liquid Telecom regional chief operations officer Martin Mushambadope said the initiative was part of efforts by the company to eradicate cholera. Said Mushambadope:

Today Liquid Telecom, which is part of Econet Global Group, is raising its shoulders to the bar and join the national efforts towards the gradual burial of the ugly head of cholera.

Harare Mayor Councillor Herbert Gomba commended Liquid Telecom for the donation.
