Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Dr Sekai Nzenza told Senate that Government is reviewing the wage bill which includes bonuses for civil servants.
Dr Nzenza was responding to a question from Midlands traditional leader Chief Ngungumbane who had asked her to clear the air on the civil servants bonuses for this year. Said Nzenza:
Thank you very much for that question. At this stage, we are reviewing our pension funds as well as reviewing the Wage Bill which also includes the bonuses. Given the current economic turmoil, we would also take that into consideration and if you can bear with me for a while, we will be able to get back to you with the correct information. Thank you.
