Another German Tourist Trampled By An Elephant

A German tourist was on Saturday trampled and left for dead by a bull elephant near the Victoria Falls hotel. He has since been admitted to a local hospital where he is reported to be in critical condition. The tourist is suspected to have been trying to film the animal when the unfortunate incident occured. This comes barely a week after another German tourist was trampled to death by an elephant at the Mana Pools national park.

Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority ( Zimparks) spokesperson Tinashe Farawo confirmed the incident saying,

This is the breeding season for elephants and they are very dangerous. Last week on Wednesday, another 49-year-old German woman was attacked and killed by an elephant at Mana Pools while taking photos. Elephants are very sensitive and tourists must exercise extreme caution.
