A local feminist non-governmental organization, Women in Politics Support Unit (WiPSU) said it strongly condemns hate speech against women. The organization was responding to Chamisa’s utterances at a Rally in St Mary’s Chitungwiza. At the rally, Chamisa commented on the appointment of Kirsty Coventry as a Minister in Mnangagwa’s cabinet. His comments did not go down well with many Feminist driven organizations like (WiPSU) who dismissed them as patriarchal and reckless.
In a statement (WiPSU) said:
We will not stand for a single individual in particular, but we are generally saying no to the hate speech that is being directed towards women
