After President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced the 7 member Commission of Inquiry to look into the events of August 1, Zimbabweans took to social media to express their opinions. As to be expected people did not really agree on the impartiality of the members of the Commission or the Commission’s mandate. Here is how some people reacted:

Why do they have to waste tax payers money appointing a commission when it is a well known fact that the soldiers used live ammunition on protesters. The footage is there they should just apprehend the guys who in turn will point to the people who sent them.Period
