GMB Reduces Processing Period For Payments To 3 Days

The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has urged farmers to deliver their grains saying that it has reduced the payment processing period from 7 days down to 3 days. The GMB is working on filling up the national silos as soon as possible. US government NGO, Famine Early Warning Systems Network, has warned of an acute food insecurity crisis to hit Zimbabwe from about October this year to January next year.

Speaking at the Presidential Inputs Scheme launch at Mupinyuri School in Guruve South, GMB General Manager Rockie Mutenha said,

There is no reason not to deliver to GMB. We are paying in 3 days and one-week latest. This GMB is now different from the old GMB.
