In an interview, deputy president of the Thokozani Khupe led MDC-T, Mr Obert Gutu told The Herald that his party had since instructed its lawyer Professor Lovemore Madhuku to sue the Nelson Chamisa led MDC-T over the $1,8 million fraud.
Chamisa’s MDC-T received the $1,8 million from the National Treasury as part of the Political Parties Finance Act. Gutu told The Herald the money was meant for their breakaway faction of the MDC-T. Said Gutu:
We have since instructed our lawyer Professor Madhuku to file a claim for the $1,8 million. The money was wrongly disbursed to Mr Chamisa’s MDC when it was meant for the MDC-T which participated in the 2013 election. I am yet to meet Prof Madhuku and we map the way forward.

Whoever is using you is adivising you badly guys. Where were you when the money went to the real MDC. Why did you not intercept it. Shame on you and if you think ED will give you posts you are lost. Madhuku will chew your money to the bone, to no success. Gutu stop this idiocy. Stop personalising issues and join MDC Alliance as an ordinary card carrying member.
