MDC Alliance leader and presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has claimed that the late founding leader of the MDC party, Morgan Tsvangirai was killed by Zanu-PF. Chamisa said that Tsvangirai was killed in an effort to weaken the opposition. Speaking at a rally in Chitungwiza, Chamisa said,
I am saying this for the first time. There are people who connived to kill our leader Morgan Tsvangirai. They thought that if they killed him, they would weaken the party. Little did they know that they were rekindling brighter flames that would consume them? They are shedding crocodile tears, but we know they killed him.
Chamisa also scoffed at President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s calls for him to approach the courts of law with his grievances concerning the election. Chamisa said that the only reason Mnangagwa was advising him to do so was because the courts are compromised.
He has been telling me to go to the court if I have issues. How can he invite me to his bedroom?
