The European Union has refuted a report in the state-owned media, The Herald. The article which is titled “EU blasts ‘sexist’ Chamisa” claimed that Philippe Van Damme, the European Union (EU) head of delegation for Zimbabwe had “blasted” had labelled MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa a “sexist” and blasted him in his tweets. Writting on Twitter, the European Union said,
We clarify that @P_VanDamme_EU neither ‘blasted’ Nelson Chamisa in his tweets about Gender-Based Violence nor labelled him ‘sexist’, as purported by The Herald. The statement about GBV – a global and Zimbabwean concern – did not single out individuals, but a phenomenon.

I didn’t blast anybody for sexist ranting but made generic (some complained too generic) comments on patriarchal & sexist culture, & I can add for clarity sake, including unfortunately within the political class across the party divides! You can check my TW trails
