MDC Alliance Will Be Defeated That's Why They Are Targeting ZEC: Zanu-PF Youth League Boss

Zanu-PF national secretary for Youth Affairs Pupurai Togarepi said MDC Alliance is trying to discredit the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission because it knows it will lose the forthcoming elections.

He said this while addressing a northern region Zanu-PF Youth Convention at Murombedzi Growth Point on Friday last week. He urged MDC Alliance to allow ZEC to do its job. Said Togarepi:

They know that they will be defeated that is why they are targeting the referee, ZEC, before the match even begins. Allow ZEC to do its job. Everyone should go and seek votes from the electorate like what we are doing here as Zanu-PF. They can demonstrate all they want, we respect their right to do so. They can bring together people from different areas to boost numbers, but as Zanu-PF we do not stop people from scoring, but we score more goals.
