Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association (ZNLWVA) spokesperson Douglas Mahiya has said that the war veterans will never allow MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa to rule the country if he wins the election. Mahiya also went on to say that Chamisa will is not going to win the July 30 harmonised elections. Addressing a Zanu-PF rally in Highfield on Monday, Mahiya said,
I heard a small boy talking about winning elections, saying he is taking over the country, this country will never be ruled by small boys and we will never allow that, isn’t it true people? I believe no one will vote for him, Chamisa and I can see you are so many here and these numbers will never go to Chamisa, go and tell those whom you left at home to vote for ZANU PF on the 30 of July.
The war veterans have never hidden their preference for Chamisa’s rival President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

These are signs of real failures in life. What else do you expect to hear from a failure like Mahiya. He thinks he holds the right to own Zimbabwe. They have been in the forefront of bringing this country down when the old Bob was still in charge. He should be reminded that Zimbabwe is for people not for a group of disgruntled war veterans who are trying to make some relevance by being irrelevant. Even the president himself knows that the voice of the people is the voice of God. This the main reason these war veterans continues to be used by politicians who eventually dump them after achieving their goals opting for those with sensible minds. It is common knowledge that, it is the same Mahiya who was beaten left right and center during the run-off primary elections and started to blame the president that he is not protecting them.This time he coming with dubious, barbaric and unreasonable statements towards other opposition candidates. Remember age does not matter, How old were you when you started politics? Wake up old man and smell the coffie.
