Former Zanu-PF MP Complains That Police Arrested Her Supporters For Violence When They Were Victims

Former Zanu-PF MP and outgoing legislator for Epworth Zalerah Makari has claimed that her supporters were arrested by the police despite the fact that they were victims of political violence. This comes after the police arrested at least 9 nine people following violent clashes in Epworth. Makari who is running as an independent after losing the Zanu-PF primary elections said,

This is total madness, the victim is now arrested, and my supporters were beaten up and then arrested, what is that? People should learn to campaign peacefully and stop unleashing violence all in the name of Zanu PF. If [Damson] has supporters, why beat up innocent people and cause them to be arrested.
