City Of Bulawayo Warns Of Interruption Of Water Supplies

The city of Bulawayo has warned residents that it waterworks at Ncema are currently not pumping water due to stolen electrical cables. In a notice, town clerk C Dube said

NOTICE OF INTERRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLIES

The City of Bulawayo would like to advise members of the public that there is currently no pumping from Ncema Water Works due to the ZESA stolen cables. The power failure occurred at 02.00 hours and it is not clearly known when power will be restored. This might result in the interruption of water supplies to the following suburbs;

* Manningdale
* Waterford
* Matsheumhlophe
* Ilanda
* Khumalo
* Mahatshula
* Northend
* Riverside
* Buenavista
* Lochview
* Burnside
* Killarney
* Parklands
* Suburbs
* City centre

Consumers are urged to conserve water until further notice. Bulawayo City Council wishes to apologise to its valued consumers for the inconvenience likely to be caused.
