Australia Cricket Team Unfazed About Security In Zimbabwe Following Bulawayo Explosion
Australia’s Twenty20 captain Aaron Finch has said that his side is not worried about the security situation in Zimbabwe. This follows an explosion which took place at President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s rally in Bulawayo on Saturday. The explosion killed 2 and injured at least 49 people. Australia and Pakistan are expected to tour the country to play in a Twenty20 international (T20I) triangular series which will take place between July 1 and July 8 in Harare. Said Finch,
We were briefed on it last night by Frank our security guy and are all systems go. With DFAT, the Australian government and Cricket Australia, they’ll make sure that all the due diligence is done to make sure it is safe. But at this stage, I haven’t heard any unease from the players in regards to going.
