President Emmerson Mnangagwa was warned of a plot to assassinate him by a Twitter user Monomutapa. The tweet surfaced after an explosion went off at Bulawayo’s White City Stadium where Mnangwagwa was holding a political rally. The president and his deputy, retired General Constantino Chiwenga were not injured in the explosion although several senior government officials including Vice President Kembo Mohadi were injured. Bodyguards and aides to the officials were also injured.

The plot smacks of the tactics that were once used by the Rhodies to divide the war effort and perpetuate their rule on the Black masses. This could be the work of a third force for the combination of Chiwenga and ED could be giving headaches to some disgruntled sections. Caution should be exercised when dealing with this sad episode at this moment in time.
This man must have the rumour,but as usual the grape vine is not 100% accurate .The element of truth is there and that is important.The threat to his life ,who plans is to do it right now is not very significant but he must be very careful and he must .On the hand the man who sent the message could be part of the group and he chicken out that is why he warned him.It is good because its not his time.This could be how Zanu Pf has been eliminating those with different views with Mugabe. The methods are out dated ,they worked then and they are not effective anymore. I think its always a very wise idea to follow instructions. This case has been officialy classified by the authorities as a very sensitive issue and all the citizens have been scricly warned against all kinds of speculations and finger pointing while the apropriate authorities are carring out a thorough investigations.

Hey there, interesting developments, but we don’t want those who want to harm others, no matter how we differ in opinion but shedding blood is and will not be the solution of resolving our differences.
Interestingly, my observation though smells a dead rat somewhere, l don’t condomn violence lets those who plot the demise of others day in and day out perish in the name of God.
1. I have followed up a lot of unfortunate incidences on international news networks, where bombs rips innocent lives at violence infested areas where terror and and intimidation is the order of the day and lives unfortunately is always lost.
2. But this bomb at White City Stadium, a real bomb planted or thrown in the middle of a crowded place, with no casualties of course am happy that there were no casualties, with some few injuries l would believe there are likely few injuries considering the stadium was full to the brim with ED supporters who wanted to see him, who wanted to listen to his massage, and he ED wanted to see them and he also wanted to dish his massage to them, was this a real bomb or something to send a massage about how this country is divided, or if it was a real bomb and as we listened to the whole Minister of Health saying some people lost limbs some peoples intestines were hanging outside, eish….. a whole Minister saying such disgusting stuff on national television. I wonder if this is not stage managed to start persecuting and reattribution against some few disgruntled voices. Is this not a scapegoat to start silencing those with different views completely. I understand, some have jumped to conclusions that the dead G40 cabal has risen. Some have even said on National TV that Harare is hunting and following ED everywhere. hhhhhmmmmmm lets not jump to conclusions.
3. Remember the SILENCE MAJORITY are very dangerous at the polling stations, when they decide alone inside the booth, especial when some few fools goes on a national tirade of saying ED does not need the Shonas vote, claiming they can win the Elections with the Masvingo and Midlands vote only, hhhhhmmmmm, l think its suicidal because Manicaland and Matabeleland vote is tricky save for the Beit Bridge vote who do not know anywhere to put their X but Zanu PF only.
4. Back to the so called assassination plot, as Zimbabweans lets guard against the 3rd force who are ready to pounce on the opportunity of an already divided populace, an opportunity of furthering structural cracks of our socio economic and political fabric which does not have a holding centre, cracks which are so visible, cracks in our NATION which can even let an elephant through, to divide our country and our people.
Name calling and finger pointing will not help anyone at this moment, but to further put the wedge on our political and executive institutions. If it was REAL, everyone should be worried because this could have thrown the whole country into turmoil, remember the whole Presidium and the National executive of the ruling part was there. If it was real, surely we were going to be friends every part of the roads with road blocks marshalled by the new order of the day, the military, taking selfies with the civilians.
