Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane and Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta have spoken on the explosion that took place during President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s rally.
Writing on Twitter, Kenyatta sent a message of goodwill to Mnangagwa and the people of Zimbabwe adding that politics should not be solved by violence. Said Kenyatta:

Writing on Twitter, Maimane called on South Africa and SADC to conduct investigations to determine the cause of the explosion. Said Maimane:
We condemn the bombing that took place in Zimbabwe. More than anything the country needs free and fair elections without violence. SA and Sadec must conduct an investigation urgently to determine all causes. Violence is undemocratic.

The United States of America and the United Kingdom issued separate statements condemning all forms of political violence after an explosion occured at White City Stadium in Bulawayo. In a statement, MDC Alliance and presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa condemned all forms of violence in politics after the incident.
