Khupe May Steal Our Votes: Chamisa Concedes Khupe Threat

MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has conceded that his former colleague Thokozani Khupe poses a threat to the MDC Alliance in the July 30 harmonised elections. While Chamisa dismissed Khupe as a contender in the presidential elections, he said that her party may dilute votes in the local government and parliamentary elections. Addressing supporters in Victoria Falls Chamisa said,

Before I leave, I should tell you about one girl who failed to agree with us. We went to court but when we saw that the referee was dining with her, we decided that we should change our party slogan. Our new logo is a hand with the face of your president. We are still dealing with her. We’re not worried about the presidential election because she won’t win but we are worried about the MPs and councillors; she might steal our votes.
