Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Deputy Governor, Dr Jesimen Chipika has said that Zimbabwe’s cash problems had actually allowed the country to progress to becoming a cashless society. Addressing stakeholders at the Ecobank Emerald Club launch on Tuesday, Chipika said
Yes, you may want to have cash but the world over even in the United States they use plastic money…But now we are happy that the hardships of cash we have in the country have actually propelled us in the most positive and correct direction of plastic money. Now Zimbabwe is assessed to become probably the first country in the SADC region for running a cashless economy and that’s where the world is going. So we were behind, [but] let us not look at it as a disadvantage that we don’t have cash.

The world order we are living in is one which seeks to promote globalisation and economic development for third world countries. Adoption of a cashless society is meant not only to direct us in the right direction economic wise but to ensure our future as an economic giant in the future
Indeed Zimbabwe is not only open for buzz but open for new reforms, ideas and technological advancements

Issues of higher politics at play here….. The great man ED has made and is still making every effort to make our economy great again. The Zimbabwean regional relations have been centered on the political and military acquisitions but the new dispensation brought about a new dawn this dawn has the economy at heart
in as much as we want economic change you need to know and understand that Zimbabwe is in the gradual process of reviving its economy therefore high levels of technology in money transaction is highly welcome in Zimbabwe #EDhasMYvote
At the same time we need hard cash reserved. ED is too srs on the issue of corruption. We need to support him. But we need criminals to be in prison
I THINK ED MUST PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST LET THE MISSING 15 BILLION BE RECOVERED THE MOVE ON CAUSE THAT IS WHAT CRIPPLED THE LOVED NATION WHY CANN’T THOSE ANSWERABLE BE BROUGHT TO BOOK LIKE ALL WRONG DOERS
