59 000 People Register To Vote In Dangamvura-Chikanga Constituency

Mutare’s Dangamvura-Chikanga Constituency has been given the moniker “Manicaland’s Uzumba-Maramba-Pungwe” after 59 000 people registered to vote from the area. According to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec), this is the highest number of registered voters in Manicaland. In 2013, the Constituency had 30 680 registered voters.

The incumbent legislator is Zanu PF’s Esau Mupfumi who is likely to square off with either Lynette Karenyi or Prosper Mutseyami from the MDC-T. The National Constitutional Assembly is fielding Ruramai Masiiwa.
