Mnangagwa Ally Abednico Ncube To Contest In Election Despite Losing Primary Election
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s ally Abednico Ncube who lost the Gwanda South Zanu-PF primary election to ZBC announcer Omphile Marupi will represent the ruling party in the July 30 elections. Ncube refused to talk to NewsDay. However, Marupi confirmed the matter saying,
Man, I am out. No reasons were given. There is something someone is hiding, but it will come out in the open
Ncube who is also the Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs minister lost the primary election after garnering 1180 votes to Marupi’s 1 284 votes. Ncube appealed the results and has seemingly been imposed in the province.
