War Veterans Must Dump Zanu-PF, It Has Neglected And Failed Them In 37 Years: Temba Mliswa

Independent legislator for Norton Temba Mliswa has called on the former liberation war veterans to dump Zanu-PF saying that it had failed them in the past 37 years. Speaking in Parliament, Mliswa said,

The opposition has been very vocal than Zanu PF in addressing the plight of war veterans and war veterans must take cognisance of that and support the political parties that support them. Former President Robert Mugabe was their patron for 37 years, but he did nothing for war veterans and now after he was ousted, we hear that he was not in the liberation war and that while others were fighting he was getting educated, and that is why he speaks better English than them.

War veterans have always been accused of being partisan and of taking the role of Zanu-PF’s enforcers to ensure that it wins elections.
