Mnangagwa Meets Equatorial Guinea President

Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo who is in the country met President Emmerson Mnangagwa for almost three hours at the State House on Thursday evening.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting which was also attended by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, President Mbasogo said Equatorial Guinea will continue supporting Zimbabwe and look for new areas of cooperation. 

Meanwhile, another meeting of Ministers from Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea ran concurrently with the two presidents’ discussions. The ministers meeting was chaired by Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri who was representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sibusiso Moyo and Higher and Tertiary Education Minister Professor Amon Murwira who are away on government business. Equatorial Guinea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Simeon Oyono and secretaries of state of Treasury, Education, Mines and government state missions in the president’s office attended the meeting.
