Zimbabwe Exports Up To $329,6 Million In The First Four Months
Latest data from the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (Zimstat) show the country’s exports increased by 46 percent to $329,6 million in the first four months of the year compared to $225,6 million during the same period.
Month-on-month export figures in April improved by 14,2 percent to $329,6 million from $288,6 million in March this year. Exports were largely agricultural produce and minerals while the imports included woven fabric, synthetic fibre, canvas and ornamental trimmings among others.
Last month, Zimbabwe exported $149,4 million worth of goods up from $120,9 million in March. Zimbabwe imported capital goods such as vehicles, medical and surgical apparatus as well as electrical equipment such as electric accumulators from South Africa.
