Mutsvangwa Is A "Cry Baby" Who Is Being Imposed, If He Makes It, I Will Defeat Him - Temba Mliswa

Independent legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa, has said that the ruling Zanu-PF party has not learned from its past mistakes of imposing candidates. Mliswa said that Zanu-PF was now trying to impose special adviser to President Emmerson Mnangagwa after he was defeated in the Zanu-PF primary elections by little known Langton Mutendereki. Mliswa said that if the special adviser wins, then it would make things easier for Mliswa in the upcoming 2018 harmonised elections. Said Mliswa,

Mutsvangwa is a cry baby he is not man enough to accept defeat and he is likely to get another hiding because he is very unpopular with the people of Norton . . . if he happens to win in the second round my passage back to Parliament will be a stroll in the park. Zanu PF never learns they did it in the by-election and now they want to repeat the same mistake of imposing candidate.

Mliswa won the Norton parliamentary seat in 2016 after former Zanu PF political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere allegedly imposed the party’s candidate, a virtually unknown Ronald Chindedza. The by-election had been necessitated by the expulsion of Mutsvangwa from Zanu-PF for allegedly fuelling factionalism and disrespecting the former First Family.
