Justice Priscilla Chigumba, the chairperson of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has claimed that the upcoming 2018 harmonised elections cannot be rigged. She said that the elections body had set up a fool proof system to prevent any manipulation which includes supposedly “unhackable” servers. Speaking at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), Justice Chigumba said,
The BVR system is tamper-proof for the simple reason that the data that we collected is housed in something called the consolidation server. The consolidation server contains the master server that contains all the information and we then have other servers which we are using to connect that data. Those servers have very strict protection files. They’re very strict un-hackable access level passwords that are tamper-free.
And I can assure Zimbabwean voters if any Zimbabwean or any other person who has information that Zec is involved in practices which might be viewed as tampering with that data base, can they bring that evidence to us.
The elections are scheduled to be held between 21 July and 21 August.

Rigging is not about the server but about whether its NIKVU which will print the ballot papers which are already rigged. Why did ZEC refused opposition to audit the voter’s roll. The behavior of ZEC is a cause for concern.
it seems ZEC has given the voter’s role to Zanu pf only…because i have received an sms encouraraging me to vote for Mnangagwa..
