You Can Fire Me, But I Am Not Resigning: Heath Streak Responds To Zimbabwe Cricket’s Ultimatum

Heath Streak the coach of the Zimbabwe Cricket team has refused to resign from his post despite receiving an ultimatum to resign by 3 pm today or to face the sack. The Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) board is reported to have issued the ultimatum last night to Streak and the entire technical staff after Zimbabwe failed to qualify for next year’s Cricket World Cup which will be played in England and Wales, despite hosting the Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

In a terse comment, Streak said,

I am not resigning, were given until 3 pm today (Friday) to resign or be fired but I am not resigning, they can fire me if they want. I cannot say much at the moment.

The ZC board was unhappy after Zimbabwe failed to qualify for the Cricket world cup for the first time since 1983.
