MSU Tightens Campus Security Following Increase In Criminal Activities

Midlands State University (MSU) has tightened security at its campuses, following an increase in criminal activities within its premises.

In a statement MSU said students and stuff are now required to wear their identity cards all the time while on campus. The statement reads:

It has come to our attention that our campuses are being visited by people with criminal and other ulterior motives who end up breaking into cars and rooms to steal valuable property belonging to members of the university community. In the interest of weeding out and discouraging such undesirable elements from frequenting our campuses, all staff and students should wear their university identity cards all the time while on campus. Kindly note that the campus police is under instruction to enforce the wearing of identity cards by staff and students as well as bonafide visitors to the university.
