The report by the pre-election team is expected to be tabled before the bloc’s regional leaders. In his summary of the meetings, Thohlane said opposition parties had made it clear Mnangagwa is a product of a coup. Said Thohlane:

The meeting was clear and the message is that the dispensation (in the country) comes from a clear coup therefore go and tell your principals that we are under military rule and how do you expect legitimate elections under such a dispensation that is the message we got and we will take.

  1. Everyone around the world knows, they were not breaking the news to them. It was necessary to do what they did. So they wanted us to continue to suffer under Mugabe?

  2. MDC is stupid sometimes. Do they know what is good for the country. Do they want Mugabe back? Now I start to think they are part of the problem in Zimbabwe. They will rather see Zimbabwe in ruins for their narrow interests. Mnangangwa did us all a huge favour to depose of Mugabe. MDC couldn’t do it.. so what is their gripe.

    1. Well said Gatsheni….this Party MDC want to see Zimbabweans suffer….they don’t with a solution…this Party just peddle lies about all over the World….

  3. Mdc mean business, failure to be properly addressed, the same coup de tat which ousted Bob can deny us free and fair election, we dont want re run polls, truth is always good. Now the new gvt consists of the army commanders as vps its a nasty picture to opposition parties

  4. I think the opposition is a confused bunch of people. I am so disturbed by what opposition said to the SADC Electoral Advisory Team. On the eve of the ZDF intervention we saw every Zimbabwean resident in Harare descent into streets calling for Mugabe’s ouster. That being the case we witnessed non partisan one voice Zimbabwe. Dont forget Garwe had issued a statement of his return when he went into exile after being fired. In his statement the assured Mugabe that he was coming back. Now the opposition says Munangagwa ascended to power through a military coup. Which one? Its you people who made the coup not the Army.
Let go for elections without making a lot of noise in fear of losing. The opposition is making unfounded demands which clearly points at anticipated defeat. Chamisa demands electoral reforms which he could not even voice when he was Minister in the Mugabe government. Now you demand the reforms to be done in two months while you had 5 full years enjoying our tax money quietly. May I ask my fellow Zimbabweans to be realistic. Why favouring reporting falsehood to people who will do very little about our country? SADC was there when Mugabe stole elections in 2008 and what did it do? Why do you forget through sleep?

  5. My fellow Zimbabweans, why do we waste time talking of issues that does not help in reshaping our country. Everyone was involved in removing Mugabe in Harare. It was the only historic event which brought all people from different political divide together in a bid to remove Mugabe. But now the same people are reporting to SADC that Mnangagwa ascended to power through a military coup. Which coup are we talking about? Is it the one which you anointed? You now call it a coup because you have seen SADC in Harare? Same on you the opposition. But don’t forget that same toothless SADC rubber stamped Mugabe’s win in 2008 when Tsvangirai won the election. Pafungei dont just rush to make useless reports. The same Chamisa who demands electoral reforms has been in government with Mugabe for 5 years and forgot to talk of electoral reforms only to realize that the political field was not even today. This to me indicates the lack of seriousness in him.

  6. vote for MDC Tthey are confuse CHAMISA is still dreaming of the good time he had in zanu now grapes are sour don’t fight mnangagwa campaign to win silly man
