Norton legislator and chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy, Temba Mliswa, is reported to have threatened Robin Vela after the National Social Security Authority (NSSA) wanted to reduce the responsibilities of one of its employees, Cynthia Mugwira over poor performance. Mliswa is said to have threatened Vela, the chairperson of NSSA, saying that Chitsinga was the mother of two of his children.
NewsDay reports that Mliswa told Vela,
I came to see you as the chairperson and a Mrs Chitsiga on the way you are treating Cynthia Mugwira, who is the legal secretary … I have two children with her.
Cynthia is a professional, she is highly qualified. NSSA is a corrupt institution, yourself included, Chitsiga included, Mai Mupfumira (former Labour minister Elizabeth) is implicated.
…You are the board chairman who wants to divide your duties. She works up to 2 am when she has two kids she must be looking after. I am a politician, I don’t have the time to be looking after those two kids and I look up to her to be able to look after those kids.
When reached for comment Mliswa said that he wanted the issue resolved in private while Vela refused to comment.

Themba should not involve himself in NSSA internal administration. The fact that he has kids with the said women does not empower him to intervene.
He might help in trying to expose how NSSA funds are being disbursed.
Vela must desist from targeting women workers. How did he measure the woman’s peformance. Did the company sent her for training to try to improve here?
While I do not like and variously detaste victimisation of of any kind especially women MY very good advice to Mliswa is that do not let your emotions run away you occupy very honourable office and you have had international experience try to manage your emotions. ED’s government which you are part of is our only HOPE of genuine survival because a fragmented and fragile aliance of the opposition will surely destroy our country and may even derail the unity accord and even open a door for the likes of JONATHAN MOYO Mugabe and G40. They opposition does not even see the danger of these things people like Joshua Nkomo sacrificed to play second feedle to MUGABE who ran us to the ground to make the Unity accord work
