Zesa Warns Of 10 Hour Electrical Blackout In Masvingo On Friday

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company has warned residents of Masvingo that parts of the town will not have electricity for close to 10 hours due to maintenance. In a statement the ZETDC said,

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) would like to advise its valued customers that there will be an interruption of power supply in Masvingo Province on Friday, the 9th of March 2018 between 0800hrs and 1800hrs to carry out critical and urgent maintenance works on the main 330kV supply line.

The following areas will be without power during the maintenance period:

Masvingo City, Mucheke, Rujeko, Rhodene, Zimre Park , Target Kopje, 4 Brigade, Clipsham, Morningside, Zimuto, Gokomere, Eastvale, Glenlivet, Bikita Minerals, Marah Ranch, Nyika, Bikita, Nemamwa, Great Zimbabwe, Ngomahuru, Mushandike, Farmers Hall, Sese, Bushmead water works, Chivi, Mashava, Hama, Chiredzi Town, Triangle, Triangle Mill, Renco mine, Rutenga, Mwenezi, Neshuro, Ngundu, Tshovani, Hippo Valley Mill and Farms, Mkwasine, Jerera, Zaka, Mashoko, ZSA, Malilangwe, Chilonga, Save. Checheche, Chisumbanje, Greenfuel and their surrounding areas.

Customers are advised to treat all electrical installations as LIVE as power can be restored without notice. The inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.
