Mugabe And Grace Meet Visiting AU Commission Chairman As AU Endorses ED Government
Former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe and his wife, Grace, met the visiting African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki Mahamat in Harare on Monday. The AU chair posed for a photo with the former first couple.
The AU chair was reportedly on a trip to express the AU’s support to the new dispensation. After meeting with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Sibusiso Moyo and Industry, Commerce and Enterprise Development Minister Mike Bimha, Mahamat said:
I am visiting Zimbabwe in order to express the support and solidarity of the African Union to this great country of Africa. In fact, we highly appreciate the way that the transition has taken place and also according to the laws and constitution of the country. We have come at this period in order to consult with the Government on how to support Zimbabwe during this crucial period of transition
