TB Joshua Leaves Without Seeing Mnangagwa, Sees Mohadi As Govt Says President Was Not Aware Of Meeting

Popular Nigerian cleric and founder of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun (T.B.) Joshua is reported to have left the country after failing to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa. According to one of the organisers of the cleric’s visit, Josey Mahachi, TB Joshua was coming to pay a private visit to the president. However, the popular prophet had to be content with seeing Vice-President Kembo Mohadi and Scholarships minister Christopher Mushohwe after the government expressed ignorance of the meeting. TB Joshua was reportedly unhappy at failing to meet the president and left for Victoria Falls instead.

Acting Information minister Simon Khaya Moyo said that neither the government nor the president were aware of the purported meeting with the prophet. Said Moyo,

The president is not a snubber. We are not aware as the government of any meeting that was set up between the president and TB Joshua.

Officials who spoke to the Standard said:

Josey tried until late evening [Friday] to get some family members to assist, but it was turned down.

This caused anger within the TB Joshua camp resulting in him leaving via the back door of his hotel to Robert Mugabe International Airport for Victoria Falls.

The self-proclaimed prophet did not meet any of his multitudes of followers in the country.
