Mnangagwa To Meet Opposition Leaders As Over 75 Political Parties Register For Elections

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has revealed that he will soon hold a consultative meeting on free and fair elections with all political parties. According to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) at least 75 parties have registered to contest in the 2018 harmonised elections. Said Mnangagwa:

As part of building political consensus in the country ahead of the harmonised elections, I shall soon be inviting leaders of all political parties for a day-long consultative meeting..

Indeed, the ethic of overarching collaboration above fair and peaceful political contestation must be cultivated and entrenched in our national politics for all times.
