Khupe Contests Tsvangirai's Appointment Of Chamisa As MDC-T Acting President
MDC-T vice president Thokozani Khupe contested Morgan Tsvangirai’s appointment of Nelson Chamisa as the party’s acting president saying that it is unconstitutional.
Writing on micro-blogging website, Twitter, Khupe said Chamisa’s appointment violated the party’s constitution which gave her power as an elected official. She said that people must not abuse Tsvangirai’s name to promote dictatorship and that MDC-T should avoid acting like Zanu-PF. Said Khupe:

5/6 Those of us sincerely concerned about the Zimbabwean voters & their MDC-T must impress upon the 2014 congressionally elected leadership at their level to take decisive corrective measures against the use of president @mrtsvangirai's name to propagate unconstitutional-ism.

6/6 MDC-T cannot afford the Zanu PF politics of rhetoric, self-help & free for all rumble in the jungle power take overs & decision making. We need a constitutionally ordered way of presenting ourselves to the voters in a clear & inspiring manner. It shall be well, stay blessed.
