The Meteorological Services Department (MSD) has warned of violent thunderstorms in provinces such as Manicaland, Matabeleland North and Mashonaland starting today.
The statement reads:
As such tomorrow (today), Thursday 11 January, in provinces such as Matabeleland North, parts of Midlands, all three Mashonaland provinces and also Manicaland, it should be cloudy with thunderstorms.
The statement also said that areas in Matabeleland South, south of Midlands and Bulawayo will be cloudy and receive patchy morning drizzle which will become mild by the afternoon. The MSD warned people in areas that are getting thunderstorms not to shelter under trees or open spaces.
