“Mnangagwa Is A Murderer”: Mthwakazi Protests Against President In SA

A fairly small group of Mthwakazi followers held a protest outside the Zimbabwean Embassy in South Africa demanding answers from Zimbabwe’s new President Emmerson Mnangagwa concerning Gukurahundi. The protesters sang a song “Mnangagwa umbulali (Mnangagwa is a murderer)”.

The group was raising placards with the words: “crocodile tears”, “it’s a genocide not bygones”, and “50 000 innocent people were killed”. One of the protesters, Coleta Ncube told IOL that people in Matabeleland suffer segregation and are unable to get jobs even though they are qualified. She said all the job opportunities were given to Shona speaking people and not them.
