Mnangagwa To Deliver First State Of The Nation Address

The Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda yesterday announced that President Emmerson Mnangagwa will present his first State of the Nation address at 1430 hours at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC) during a joint sitting of the Senate and National Assembly.

Mudenda advised MPs and Senators to be at the HICC by 1215 hours. Said Mudenda:

I wish to inform the House that His Excellency the President, Hon. E. D. Mnangagwa will tomorrow, Wednesday 20th December, 2017 deliver the State of the Nation Address at a joint sitting of the Senate and the National Assembly at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) at 1430 hours. Lunch will be served at 1230 hours.  Hon. Members are therefore required to be at HICC by 1215hours.

Mnangagwa is expected to speak on a number of issues which include employment creation, the cash crisis and the recent price increases. Zimbabweans also expect Mnangagwa to speak on electoral reforms and the appointment of his two Vice Presidents.
