Video: Where Will Mugabe Go? Mugabe’s Homes Outside Zimbabwe

As President Robert Mugabe’s fate hangs in the balance there is growing speculation on where the first family will go into exile, when Mugabe finally decides to step down. South Africa’s opposition, the Democratic Alliance, has said that it will oppose any plans to grant Mugabe political asylum in their country. This came out after Mugabe was reported to have agreed in principle to leave. However, terms were yet to be agreed on.  Mugabe will be meeting with the Zimbabwe Defence Forces generals again today in talks which are being mediated by Roman Catholic Priest, Father Fidelis Mukonori.

This video shows some of the first family’s homes outside the country.

  1. Why does he go for exile . I think Africa we must take care of our elderly leaders in Europe and America leaders are protected and accorded statesmanship when they ate out of office but in Africa we have a bad yendance of killing chasing away our foreleaders . Africans we must change . I would for sure like to see our elderly leaders accorded respect they deserve and bearing in mind that he has done and achieved so much also for the country . Plus who is not a sinner . We all have our dark corners.

    1. those leaders u talk about did not get overthrown but were democratically removed from power through voting. why pay for the retirement of a tyrant and his family? what did he or any of his spoilt bratty kids and wife do for the everyday citizen of Zimbabwe that earns him the right to retire on state money?

    2. Nonsense Richard! He is lucky he is still alive! So exile is indeed a great option. And how do you suggest he compensates for those who perished at the murdering hands of Gukurahundi? And other crimes and indiscretions against humanity in Zimbabwe?

  2. mugabe ruled with fear for he knew that he was not supposed to be there he was not a leader but a tyrant. he did not care about anyone accept himself he was king Pharaoh who made Zimbabwean burn bricks with grass and up to now. Richard you are entitled to your opinion as the Egyptians were they benefited from the suffering of the Israelite. he does not deserve to be called a hero but a fallen hero he needs to die in prison and be buried by the prisoners he what the point
