POTRAZ in talks with Telecel, Econet and NetOne to reduce tariffs

The  Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) said it is in talks with local mobile phone companies over a tariff reduction to be implemented with effect from January 2018. When contacted by ZBC for a comment, POTRAZ Director General, Dr Gift Machengete confirmed the negotiations and said there is a possibility tariffs may be reduced.

Dr Machengete also said that mobile phone operators are taking necessary steps to ensure success of infrastructure sharing.
