Mhofu appointed Warriors caretaker coach

Sunday Chidzambwa has been appointed Warriors caretaker coach for the Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) tournament set for Kenya from the 25th of this month to the 9th of December. The tournament will feature Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia.

In a statement ZIFA communications and competitions manager Xolisani Gwesela said Chidzambwa will be the Warriors caretaker coach exclusively for the CECAFA tournament. Said Gwesela:

The Zimbabwe Football Association advises the football family and the nation at large that it has appointed Sunday Chidzambwa as the caretaker senior national team coach, exclusively for the upcoming CECAFA tournament. Zimbabwe accepted the invitation to play as a guest nation at the 2017 edition of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations tournament to be played in Kenya.
