During a Zimbabwe Election Debate interview with Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa on Star FM, People’s Democratic Party Presidentt Tendai Biti slammed a listener who asked for his thoughts on MDC Alliance leader Morgan Tsvangirai’s health and if he is the best candidate for the 2018 elections.
Biti said that his differences with Tsvangirai where never about a person. Said Biti:
That statement is ironic. It’s clearly coming from someone who belongs to a party whose candidate is 94 years and can hardly walk. Yes we have absolute confidence in Morgan Tsvangirai and none among us is fit to play doctor to his right.
Biti also clarified that he is not back at MDC-T but that he is a member of the MDC Alliance. Said Biti:
I am a member of the MDC Alliance not a member of the MDC-T. I left the party because there were objective differences not with Tsvangirai.
